GTA 6 activities: 24 things to do in Leonida, from fishing and scuba diving to mini golf

There's a lot to do in Grand Theft Auto VI besides the story. Between Rockstar's own pages, interviews with its developers and the previews in Game Informer, IGN and VICE, 24 activities are confirmed so far, from robberies and street races to fishing trips, scuba dives, mini golf and dates.

Each one below links to its page in our library, with every source we used. GTA 6 comes out on Nov. 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and we'll add what we find when we play it.

Every GTA 6 activity at a glance

Crime

• Robberies: you can do them alone or as a pair, quietly or loudly, and your choices set how hard the police come after you, according to IGN.
• Vehicle theft: some parked cars need tools such as a key cloner or a Slim Jim, but you can always pull a driver out of their car, Rob Nelson of Rockstar North told IGN.
• Fencing stolen goods: Rockstar says some garages have a secure place to leave stolen goods, and IGN reports that stolen cars go to a fence.

Our wanted level guide covers what happens when the police get involved, and the money guide covers what crime pays.

Racing and the open road

• Street racing: one of the side activities in Game Informer's cover story, as reported by IGN, alongside off-road racing.
• Off-roading: Rockstar says Mount Kalaga National Park has off-road trails.
• Vehicle customization: Rockstar has named two mod shops, both in the Ultimate Edition: Rideout Customs for donk-style builds, and One-Eyed Willie's in Lake Leonida for off-road mods and hand-painted art.
• Ride-share fast travel: you can get into a ride-share car and ride along with other passengers you can talk to, IGN reports.

The great outdoors

• Hunting and fishing: Rockstar lists both among the things to do in Mount Kalaga National Park, on Leonida's northern border. It also pitches the Ultimate Edition's Shitzu Squalo boat for fishing in Gambit Bay.
• Wildlife tracking: you can track certain animals, sorted into Rare, Discoverable and Legendary, Game Informer reports, and VICE says wildlife can be studied and logged on a checklist. Our animals guide has every species named so far.

On the water

• Scuba diving: on Game Informer's list of side activities, and Game Informer saw it in An Extended Look, Rockstar's 26-minute video from Aug. 27. Rockstar hasn't said where you can dive.
• Kayaking: Rob Nelson named it among the everyday things Jason and Lucia can do together.
• Jet skiing and airboating: both are on the side-activity list from Game Informer's cover story, as reported by IGN.

Sports and games

• Base jumping: on the same Game Informer list. Rockstar hasn't described it.
• Billiards and mini golf: both are side activities in Game Informer's list, and Rob Nelson named playing pool and mini golf among the things Jason and Lucia can do together.
• Gyms: you can work out, Nelson told IGN, and IGN reports that going to the gym together trains both characters.

Looking good

• Haircuts and grooming: Sara's Unisex Salon, an Ultimate Edition shop, offers facial hair, makeup and nails. VICE reports that new hairstyles need a barber or salon, though you can shave or trim at a safehouse.
• Tattoos: the Ultimate Edition's Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor in Stockyard offers over 50 signature tattoos, designed by the artist collective FAILE.
• Clothes shopping: the Ultimate Edition adds the Stock 305 Clothing Store in Stockyard, and VICE reports that some stores carry items others don't.

Several of these shops come only with the Ultimate Edition; our price and editions guide lists everything in it.

Days and nights out

• Zoos: on the side-activity list from Game Informer's cover story. Rockstar hasn't described them.
• Strip clubs: Rockstar's profile of Boobie Ike says his business empire includes one, and Game Informer spotted a strip club in An Extended Look.
• Dates: some activities, such as hiking, appear to be dates Jason and Lucia can go on as a couple, VICE reports. Nelson says their bond grows through the time they spend together.

What isn't known yet

• Where most of these happen. Rockstar has placed only a few, such as hunting, fishing and off-roading in Mount Kalaga.
• How they work and what they pay. Rockstar hasn't explained rewards, skill levels or how often you can repeat them.
• The full list. Previews only show part of a game this size, so expect more at launch. Our launch-day checklist and trophies guide will grow once the game is out.
