GTA 6 price in 63 countries: where it's cheapest and most expensive

Grand Theft Auto VI costs $79.99 in the US, but what you pay depends on where you live. We checked the official price on the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store in 63 countries on Oct. 12. Converted to US dollars at that day's exchange rates, the Standard Edition runs from about $62 in Japan to about $106 on Colombia's Xbox Store.

Japan (¥9,800), India (₹5,999) and Indonesia (Rp 1,190,000) are the cheapest places to buy it. Colombia's Xbox Store, Israel (ILS 319) and Norway (NOK 949) are the most expensive. Across the euro countries it's €79.99, about $89, and in the UK it's £69.99, about $93.

The Ultimate Edition follows the same pattern, from ¥12,280 (about $77) in Japan to COP 424,900 (about $133) on Colombia's Xbox Store. It's $99.99 in the US. Our price and editions guide has what each edition includes.

GTA 6 price by country

These are the 40 countries where we checked both stores, cheapest first. Dollar figures are approximate. Where the two stores differ, the table shows the Xbox price and the section below has the PlayStation one.

The 12 euro countries are Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia and Spain.

We checked these countries on the PlayStation Store only.

The PlayStation Store also lists GTA 6 at €79.99 and €99.99 in Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Iceland, Luxembourg, Malta and Slovenia, and at US$79.99 and US$99.99 in Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay. In Honduras it's HNL 2,109 and HNL 2,639, and in Nicaragua NIO 2,939 and NIO 3,669; we didn't convert those two.

Is GTA 6 cheaper on PS5 or Xbox?

Usually neither. The PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store list the same price in 34 of the 40 countries where we checked both. The six exceptions:

• Argentina, Chile and Colombia. The PlayStation Store charges US dollars there, US$79.99 for the Standard Edition and US$99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, while the Xbox Store charges pesos. That makes the biggest gap in Colombia, where the Xbox price works out to about $106. The listed prices don't tell you which taxes or card charges each store adds at checkout.
• Mexico. The PlayStation Store shows MX$1,292.24. Add Mexico's 16% sales tax (IVA) and that comes to exactly MX$1,499, the Xbox price, so the PlayStation figure appears to be before tax.
• Saudi Arabia. SAR 301.56 on PlayStation against SAR 309 on Xbox.
• United Arab Emirates. The PlayStation Store lists AED 299.16, while the Xbox Store charges US$79.99.

Before you buy from another country

Each store charges its own country's price, in that country's currency. If you're thinking of buying the boxed version from abroad, the Rockstar Store says its PlayStation codes are region-locked: a box shipped to the US or Canada "will only work for customers holding an account for PlayStation registered to these countries," and the same goes for the UK and for its European countries. How we checked

We read every price from the stores themselves on Oct. 12, 2026: the Xbox Store's own listing data for 41 countries (it showed no price in Russia), and the PlayStation Store's country pages. Sales and price changes after that date aren't reflected here.

Dollar figures use the European Central Bank's reference rates for Oct. 12. For currencies the ECB doesn't publish, we used each central bank's official rate: Argentina and Chile for Oct. 9, Colombia for Oct. 10 and Ukraine for Oct. 12, plus the Federal Reserve's rate for the Taiwan dollar on Oct. 2. The Saudi riyal is fixed at 3.75 to the dollar. Exchange rates move every day, so the dollar figures are a guide, not what your bank will charge.

US and Canadian store prices are listed before sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies. Store prices in the UK, the euro countries, Australia and Japan include VAT, GST or consumption tax.
