GTA 6 voice actors: Rockstar has not named who plays Jason and Lucia

As of Oct. 23, 2026, Rockstar Games has not named the actors who play Jason Duval, Lucia Caminos or any other character in Grand Theft Auto VI. No actor is credited on Rockstar's GTA VI site, on its official character profiles, or on the game's PlayStation Store, Xbox Store and Rockstar Store listings, all of which we checked on Oct. 23.

Here is what is on the record instead, from Stephen Root's comments to the Associated Press to what Rockstar's developers have said about Jason and Lucia as characters, and where the official cast list will appear.

GTA 6 cast at a glance

What Rockstar has said about the cast

Nothing yet. Rockstar's eight official character profiles, including those of Jason and Lucia, describe who the characters are in the story, not who plays them. Our GTA 6 characters guide covers all eight.

IGN noted the silence in September. On Sept. 14 it reported that "Rockstar has yet to confirm any GTA 6 actors," and that with no word from Rockstar, fans have tried to work out the cast themselves. IGN added that it did not know who plays Jason and Lucia either. Nothing on Rockstar's site or the store listings has changed that since.

Stephen Root says he is in the game

Actor Stephen Root, who voices Bill Dauterive on King of the Hill, told the Associated Press on Sept. 13 that he is in GTA 6. AP's video report says he "confirms online speculation that he's part of the cast."

Root did not say which character he plays, and Rockstar has not confirmed that he is in the game. Characters attached to his name online are inferences by fans and outlets, not something Root or Rockstar has said, so we leave them out.

What Rockstar's developers say about Jason and Lucia

Rockstar staff have discussed the two leads in magazine and press interviews. In the ones below, none names who plays them.

• Chemistry. Rob Nelson, head of development and co-studio head at Rockstar North, told IGN why the team chose two leads in a relationship, then said chemistry is hard to get right in any kind of entertainment: "Either the characters and the actors that embody them have it or they don't." He said everyone involved worked hard at it and that he thinks they have it. More in our story on IGN's full interview.
• The story. Rupert Humphries, Rockstar's senior vice president of narrative, described GTA 6 to Dazed as "a Bonnie and Clyde-type narrative." More in our story on the Dazed feature.
• Who they are. Game writer Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern told LOVE magazine the writers "wanted both protagonists to be vulnerable, tough, flawed," as VICE reported from LOVE's preview of the interview. More in our story on the LOVE issue.

Names you may have seen online

The names in circulation for Jason, Lucia and other characters come from leaks, from fans comparing voices, from guesswork or from secondhand reports. None of them comes from Rockstar, so we do not print them.

A name is confirmed only when Rockstar credits it, whether on its site, in an announcement or in the game itself. Our leaks guide explains how to tell Rockstar's own news from leaked material, and our Is it true? check on the voice cast tracks the claim.

Where the official cast list will appear

Rockstar has not said whether it will name the cast before launch. Games list their performers in the credits, so the full, official list will be in GTA 6's own credits once the game is out on Nov. 19, unless Rockstar names the actors before then.

Until one of those happens, treat any name you see as unconfirmed. The voice cast also sits on the not-confirmed list of our confirmed-facts ledger.
