GTA 6 wallpapers: Rockstar's 25 official 4K wallpapers for phone, PC and ultrawide, and how to download them
Rockstar's GTA 6 site has 25 official wallpapers, free: Jason and Lucia key art, the cover art, six characters and six region postcards, in sizes up to 5120 by 2160 for phones, PCs and tablets.
Rockstar Games has 25 official Grand Theft Auto VI wallpapers on its website, free to download. They're the key art of Jason and Lucia, the game's cover art, six of its other characters and postcards of Leonida's six regions. Most come in six sizes, from a phone screen to an ultrawide monitor, and the smallest desktop version is 4K.
They sit in the Artwork & Wallpapers section of the media page on Rockstar's GTA 6 site, which we checked on Nov. 8. Here's what's there, which size to pick and how to download them.
Every official GTA 6 wallpaper
| Set | Wallpapers | Sizes |
|---|---|---|
| Jason and Lucia | Lock and Load, Robbery, Beach, 01, 02 and Motel | Six each, seven for 02 |
| Jason and Lucia with the game's logo | Lock and Load, Robbery, Beach, 01 and 02 | Landscape, square and portrait |
| Cover art | The official cover art, and the cover of Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album | Six for the game's cover, three for the album's |
| Characters | Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder | Six each |
| Postcards | Vice City, Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers and Mount Kalaga National Park | Six each |
Jason and Lucia don't get portraits of their own in this set. They appear together in all six pieces of key art instead. Lock and Load is the artwork on the hand-painted GTA 6 mural in Brooklyn, the one tagged with graffiti this month. The six characters are the ones in our cast guide, and the postcards are Rockstar's "Visit Leonida" cards, one for each of the regions on the map.
Which size to pick
| Size | Pixels | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Landscape | 3840 by 2160 (4K) | Desktops, laptops and TVs |
| Ultrawide | 5120 by 2160 | Ultrawide monitors |
| Phone | 2160 by 4800 | iPhones and Android phones |
| Portrait | 1080 by 1920, or 2160 by 3840 | Phones, and screens turned on end |
| Tablet | 3840 by 3840 | Tablets, whichever way you hold them |
| Square | 2160 by 2160 | Square screens and profile pictures |
Nineteen of the 25 come in all six sizes. The five with the game's logo, and the album cover, come in landscape, square and portrait only, so they suit a desktop or a phone but not an ultrawide screen. Jason and Lucia 02 has a second phone version.
The tablet size is square, so it fills the screen whether you hold a tablet upright or sideways.
How to download them
- Go to the media page on Rockstar's GTA 6 site and open Artwork & Wallpapers.
- Pick a wallpaper, then a size. The download button shows the file's size before you start.
- For the whole set, use Download All. It's one zip file of about 235 MB.
On a phone, download the single phone or portrait version you want. The zip is large, and you'd have to unzip it before you could use any of the images.
More from Rockstar's media page
The same page has Rockstar's 138 screenshots in one zip of about 116 MB, 51 images of the Ultimate Edition's extras, 12 of the Vintage Vice City Pack and four of its videos as files you can keep, including the launch trailer at about 782 MB.
Our screenshots page has 217 official screenshots, each credited. They include all 39 from Rockstar's Launch Gallery and the ones Rockstar shared with Edge magazine and Bloomberg Businessweek.
Get them from Rockstar
Rockstar's page is the place to get them. Wallpaper apps and sites that use GTA 6's name have nothing to do with Rockstar, and fake GTA 6 apps on phones have been used to push ads and worse. Our story on fake GTA 6 apps covers what to avoid.
