Snapmatic

GTA 6's in-game social media app. Rob Nelson of Rockstar North named it in IGN's full interview, and you can browse Snapmatic but cannot post on it yourself.

Snapmatic is GTA 6's in-game social media app, according to IGN's report on Game Informer's Sept. 29 cover story. You can browse it, but you cannot post to it. In IGN's words: "Players won't be able to post on the app themselves."

Rob Nelson, co-studio head at Rockstar North, named the app in IGN's full interview with him, published Oct. 7: "We have Snapmatic," he said, according to Insider Gaming. You can follow and browse accounts but not post, because Jason and Lucia are a couple on the run. In Nelson's words: "You just lurk."

Rockstar has not said more about what the app shows. For the rest of what is known about how GTA 6 plays, see our gameplay guide.
