Cane toads are on the list of example species in Game Informer's Sept. 29, 2026, cover story, which reports that Leonida has more than 170 animal species across land, air and sea.

Rockstar has not said where in Leonida cane toads can be found. Game Informer reports that certain animals are categorized as Rare, Discoverable or Legendary, but Rockstar has not said which ones. Our report on the cover story has more.
