GTA 6's callbacks to older games: Pißwasser, Weazel News, Flash FM and Tommy Vercetti's shirt

Rockstar has already shown dozens of names from earlier Grand Theft Auto games in GTA 6, from Pißwasser beer and Weazel News to Flash FM and Tommy Vercetti's shirt. Here's each one and where it appears.

GTA 6 takes place in a new state, but plenty of what Rockstar has shown of it will look familiar to anyone who has played the series. Every name below comes from Rockstar's own GTA 6 trailers, screenshots or official text, with a link to our library entry, which has the exact moment or image it appears in. What it was in earlier games is noted alongside. Where Rockstar hasn't confirmed something, like Tommy Vercetti returning, we say so.

Vice City and its neighborhoods

  • Vice City. The city of 2002's GTA Vice City and 2006's Vice City Stories is GTA 6's big city, and Rockstar says it "is still the sun and fun capital of America."
  • Ocean Beach and Washington Beach. Both were neighborhoods in the 2002 game, and both are named in Rockstar's GTA 6 text: the pre-order bonus garage sits alongside Ocean Beach, and the Ultimate Edition's Shitzu Squalo boat is docked at Washington Beach.
  • Liberty City. The city of GTA III and GTA IV gets a mention in Lucia's profile: she wants the good life her mom has dreamed of "since their days in Liberty City."

Tommy Vercetti

Two official GTA 6 items name the hero of 2002's Vice City:

Neither says Tommy appears in GTA 6, and Rockstar hasn't said you can visit the Vercetti Estate. Our checks on Tommy Vercetti and the Vercetti Estate explain what is and isn't confirmed.

On the radio and TV

  • Flash FM. The pop station from 2002's Vice City is back. Rockstar named it among GTA 6's radio stations on Oct. 8 and calls it "the Vice City institution for the best in pop music."
  • Weazel News. The series' TV news network, seen in GTA IV and GTA V, covers a crash live in Trailer 1 under the headline "No (over) turning zone!"

Beer, cigarettes and gas

  • Pißwasser, the beer from GTA IV and GTA V, hangs on a $14.99 sign over Jason and Lucia's store robbery in Trailer 1, and on a bar sign in Trailer 2.
  • Patriot Beer, also from GTA IV and GTA V, is painted on a semi-trailer in Trailer 1, and its pennants hang over a bar in Trailer 2.
  • Logger Light is on a poster on the store door in Trailer 1's robbery scene. Logger was a beer in GTA IV and GTA V.
  • Redwood, the cigarette brand from San Andreas, GTA IV and GTA V, is on a sign at a store entrance in Trailer 2.
  • Globe Oil, the fuel company from GTA IV and GTA V, is on a tanker that passes behind Lucia and Jason's car in the Launch Trailer.

Guns, banks and security

  • Phil's Ammu-Nation. Ammu-Nation, the gun store chain from earlier GTA games, advertises on TV in Trailer 2. The name may remind players of Phil Cassidy, the arms dealer from GTA III and Vice City, but Rockstar hasn't said who this Phil is.
  • Fleeca and Lombank. Both banks were in GTA IV and GTA V. In An Extended Look, Lombank has a branch on a Vice City street, and a Fleeca Bank magnet sits on a fridge door.
  • Gruppe 6. GTA V's armored trucks belonged to Gruppe Sechs, German for "group six." In An Extended Look, a Gruppe 6 armored truck shows up.

Brands and fashion

  • Bilgeco, the shipping company from GTA V, is printed on a container on a cargo ship in Trailer 1.
  • Didier Sachs, the designer label from earlier GTA games, is on a box on a shelf in An Extended Look.
  • Sessanta Nove, the fashion label from GTA V, is on a framed poster in An Extended Look.

Cars and their makers

  • Makers. Bravado, Declasse, Vapid, Dinka and Maibatsu all made vehicles in earlier GTA games, and all five names are legible in Rockstar's GTA 6 footage or screenshots.
  • Sentinel. A car in every main GTA game since GTA III; in An Extended Look, the badge is on the trunk of a red convertible.
  • Declasse Burrito. The series' workhorse van turns up in a parking garage in An Extended Look.
  • Bravado Buffalo. A familiar name from the series, here on the back of a Vice Beach police car in An Extended Look.
  • Vapid Stanier. The Stanier was a sedan in GTA V; GTA 6's pre-order bonus is a 1955 version.

What isn't confirmed

  • Tommy Vercetti in the game. Rockstar has used his name for two items, nothing more.
  • Cars named by their shape. Lists online name dozens of returning vehicles from how they look. We only list a vehicle once its maker or model is legible in Rockstar's footage, as our editorial policy explains.
  • What these names are in the game. A sign or a logo tells us a name is there, not whether you can visit the store, drink the beer or bank at Fleeca. We'll fill that in from the game after Nov. 19.

More of what Rockstar has shown is in our brands, vehicles and weapons sections.

Questions readers ask

Is Tommy Vercetti in GTA 6?
Rockstar hasn't said so. Two official GTA 6 items mention him: the pre-order bonus weapon pattern, inspired by his palm tree shirt, and the Ultimate Edition's revolvers, sourced from the Vercetti Estate. Neither says he appears in the game.
Is Flash FM in GTA 6?
Yes. Rockstar named Flash FM, the pop station from 2002's GTA Vice City, as one of GTA 6's radio stations on Oct. 8, 2026, and calls it the Vice City institution for the best in pop music.
Is Ammu-Nation in GTA 6?
Rockstar has shown it: a TV ad for Phil's Ammu-Nation, a gun store, runs in Trailer 2. Ammu-Nation is the gun store chain from earlier GTA games. Rockstar hasn't said yet whether you can shop there.
Is Pißwasser in GTA 6?
Yes, on signs. The beer from GTA IV and GTA V is on a $14.99 sign over Jason and Lucia's store robbery in Trailer 1, and on a bar sign in Trailer 2.
