Who's who in GTA 6's Extended Look: Andrés de León, Petra Navarro, Raymond, Mendez and Nesto

An Extended Look, the 26-minute video Rockstar Games released on Aug. 27, follows Jason and Lucia through several jobs in and around Vice City. Along the way it names five people who aren't among the eight characters on Rockstar's official site. None of them has an official profile, and Rockstar hasn't said what part any of them plays in the story, so here is what the video shows and what Game Informer adds in its write-up. Each time links to that moment in Rockstar's upload.

Raymond

In the opening scene, Jason and Lucia arrive to pick something up and are told to go inside and ask for Raymond. A conversation prompt on screen reads "Raymond?" at 0:58, so his is the one name on this list the game spells out itself. Later in the job, he is also called Ray and Ramo.

Ernesto, or Nesto

During the same job, a call from Ernesto comes in on speakerphone, and Raymond greets him as Nesto. He isn't seen on screen. Rockstar hasn't printed his name, so the spelling is ours.

Mendez

About five minutes in, Jason and Lucia recognize a man as Mendez and wonder whether he saw them. That's all the video says about him, and the spelling is ours.

Andrés de León

The last job in the video is security work. Game Informer's write-up says Jason and Lucia are hired as security for Andrés, a wealthy mogul in Vice City for the lavish launch of the first American headquarters of Megamundo, a Spanish-language media company. Game Informer gives only his first name. In the video, the job is described as protecting Andrés de León.

Megamundo isn't new to Rockstar's footage: its name is on signs in Trailer 2, at 2:25.

Petra Navarro

When Jason and Lucia arrive as the new security detail for Andrés, Petra Navarro is introduced to them as Megamundo's chief operating officer. Rockstar hasn't printed her name either, so the spelling is ours.

What we don't know

• What part any of them plays. Rockstar's story setup says only that when an easy score goes wrong, Jason and Lucia end up in a criminal conspiracy that stretches across Leonida.
• What they look like. In the footage it isn't always clear which person is which, so we haven't put faces to these names, and their library pages have no pictures yet.
• How four of the names are spelled. Only Raymond's is printed on screen. We'll correct the others if the game spells them differently.

The eight characters Rockstar has profiled are in our characters guide, and An Extended Look is on our trailers page.
