Game Informer's Sept. 29, 2026, cover story names green iguanas among its examples of Leonida's wildlife, along with flamingos, manatees, pelicans, alligators, cane toads, feral cats and rhesus macaque monkeys. The magazine counts more than 170 species across land, air and sea.

Game Informer also describes new visual detail for the game's animals, such as iridescence, bioluminescence and translucency. Rockstar has not said where in Leonida iguanas can be found. Our report on the cover story has more.
