Raul Bautista in GTA 6: the bank robber who's always looking for a new crew

Raul Bautista is one of the eight people Rockstar Games profiles on its official GTA 6 site, and the only one whose trade is robbing banks. Rockstar paints him as a smooth, experienced professional who keeps recruiting new people, and whose taste for risk puts every job, and every crew, on the line. Here's everything Rockstar has said and shown of him.

What Rockstar says

Raul's profile opens under the headline "Experience counts." Rockstar credits him with "confidence, charm, and cunning" and calls him "a seasoned bank robber always on the hunt for talent ready to take the risks that bring the biggest rewards."

The second part, headed "A professional adapts," turns to his weak spot: "Raul's recklessness raises the stakes with every score. Sooner or later, his crew will have to double down or pull their chips from the table."

The profile also gives him a line of his own: "Life is full of surprises, my friend. I think we'd all be wise to remember that."

What his four screenshots show

Rockstar released four screenshots of Raul with his profile. In its own descriptions of them:

• On the phone, with someone sitting at two computer monitors behind him.
• At the wheel, driving with one hand and holding a hidden handgun in the other, with a bag full of cash open on the passenger seat.
• On a boat, arms crossed, near the throttle.
• In a suit, looking off into the distance as people walk down a neon-lit sidewalk behind him.

Where he fits

GTA 6's story is about two robbers. Rockstar's setup has Jason and Lucia ending up in a criminal conspiracy that stretches across Leonida after an easy score goes wrong; our story guide has the details. Robbery is a big part of how the game plays, too: Rob Nelson of Rockstar North told IGN you can rob stores and banks as a pair, and Edge reports holdups of gas stations and jewelry stores as ways to raise money between story missions.

A bank robber who's always looking for talent would fit that world, but Rockstar hasn't connected Raul to Jason and Lucia, or to any job in particular. His profile is about his own crews, and it doesn't name anyone in them.

What we don't know

• How he meets Jason and Lucia, if he does.
• Whether he's a friend or a danger to them. His profile makes the case for both: he hires talent, and his recklessness puts crews at risk.
• Where in Leonida he works. Rockstar hasn't tied him to a region.
• Who plays him. Rockstar hasn't named any of GTA 6's cast.
